anyway ! this is nami ! and her biggest dream is to become a mermaid just like her step mom! she ran away from home at a very young age because of her parents thinking her dreams were unrealistic and childish. they tried many things to get her to stop thinking that way by entering her in other subjects like maths and sciences. things to distract her from her dream. she eventually gathered the courage to follow those dreams and abandoned her family, including her 2 young, baby twin brothers. for about 2 months she was completely on her own as a stray cat, barely surviving on the money she stole from her family's savings account. she traveled for 2 months to the closest beach she could think of, in hopes of making a living there, and being completely free from the judgement of her strict family. once she arrived, she met a tall, inky sea urchin, who eventually became her step father, along with her step-mother, who is an actual mermaid. her new family quickly became her own, however further on she began to miss her actual family. especially her 2 young brothers. this is a silent haunting for nami, and to this day she hopes that she can take 2 months out of her life to travel back and visit them once again, in the form of a mermaid.idk how that'll happen but hey it doesn't hurt to dream
